As with 1985's Hounds Of Love, the album is split into two sections. The first disc, subtitled "A Sea Of Honey" and the second "A Sky Of Honey" The album sold more than 90,000 copies in it's first week of release and has now been certified as platinum by the British Phonographic Industry. UK music magazine Mojo named Aerial their 3rd best album of 2005 and the album recieved a BRIT Award nomination for Best British Album in 2006.
